Global Justice
There are over 4000 Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate present in more than
70 countries throughout the world. Advocacy in favor of justice in
all of these countries falls under the rubric of the US JPIC Office's
mandate. If you are an Oblate in one of these countries and have
an advocacy issue you would like us to be involved in, please feel free
to contact
us, especially if it involves the US government in some way.
Recently, we have
been most active on issues concerning
indigenous people in Bangladesh,
migrants crossing and people living at the US/Mexico border, human rights in
Asia and
Africa (especially the
Sudan,
Zambia, Zimbabwe and
Latin America, as well as issues
regarding Haiti.
