Oblate Priest Killed in the Philippines.

 

Oblate of Mary Immaculate priest, Fr. Reynado Jesus Roda OMI, was gunned down and killed in the southern Philippines on Tuesday night, January 15^th. It is the in the same region that the bishop of Jolo, also an Oblate of Mary Immaculate, was slaughtered few years ago.

 

Expressing great sadness of Fr. Reynods’s dead, Pope Benedict XVI called the killers to "renounce the ways of violence" and to work for a "just and peaceful society”.
