New
Environmental Science Resource Available for Low-Income Countries.
Online Access to Research in the
Environment (OARE) is an excellent new resource for environmental
science literature available for free in low income countries. A number
of countries where Oblates are missioned are on the list. NGOs,
academics, and anyone interested in researching environmental issues
would benefit greatly from access to the information. A new initiative,
OARE is coordinated by the United Nations Environment
Programme (UNEP) and Yale University in association with the
International Association of Scientific Technical and Medical Publishers
and leading science and technology publishing houses. Support is
provided by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and the
William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
